As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all financial and accounting activities within the country, serving as a key partner to the Sales Lead and the primary contact for the shared service office. You will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Manage tax compliance, including VAT filings, corporate income tax, and deferred tax calculations.
• Collaborate with the CEE Tax Manager on
  - specific tax matters.
• Oversee store accounting, reconciliations, and payroll cost control.
• Ensure timely payments and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Provide financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting support to the CEE Business Navigation team.
• Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and oversee external audits.
• Ensure timely reporting through consolidation software (One
  Stream).
• Manage risk and ensure strong internal controls.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with internal departments to optimize processes, drive efficiencies, and achieve cost savings.
• Partner with the Sales Lead to provide financial analysis and support for special projects.
• Act as a business partner to other local departments within the headquarters.
• Prepare and submit local reports to national banks, statistical offices, and other authorities.

Reporting

• Prepare and analyze standard company reports.
• Submit local regulatory reports as required.
• Assist with the annual financial statements and external audit process.

What you bring

• Bachelor / Master's degree in Accounting.
• Proven experience in preparation of Statutory Financial statements.
• Experience leading a team of accountants.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and local Romanian accounting standards.
• Knowledge of Romanian tax topics, including VAT, CIT, Deferred tax.
• Work experience SAP Ariba and MS office.
• Being able to understand and organize business processes.
• Flexibility in organizing work in a changing environment.
• Effective communication in both English and Romanian.
