API Test Automation Engineer
Description
:Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation scripts to test API endpoints using test
automation frameworks.
- Work closely with developers and product owner, to identify and prioritize API
test cases for automation.
- Execute automated tests, analyze and report results, and work with the team to
resolve defects.
- Participate in the review and improvement of test processes and methodologies,
and provide recommendations for automation and tooling improvements.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure continuous integration and delivery
processes are in place and functioning effectively.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, attend daily
- up meetings, provide
feedback, and contribute to sprint retrospectives.
- Keep up to date with new testing tools, techniques, and technologies to improve
overall API quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and API test automation.
- Experience with testing tools such as Postman, or equivalent.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Java
Script or Python.
- Experience with API testing frameworks such as Rest Assured.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
- Experience with SDLC tools – Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Github
- Strong
- solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong desire to learn and stay up to date with new technologies and
methodologies.
Preferred:
- Knowledge and experience in cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform
(GCP)
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Experience with Oauth2, Open
