The Opportunity

Worldline is looking for Application Engineers to join our competence center that will support our FS Production Centers Merchant and acquiring services, issuing, digital services and account payments in their alerting and monitoring activities.

As a support team you will be strongly involved in maintaining the configuration of our monitoring tools, helping the application management teams to implement dashboards, graphs, monitoring and alerts in our different applications. Those application teams are monitoring the traffic to anticipate potential issues and react to any abnormal behavior.

You will plays a crucial role in the integration of the application and technical components with our standard monitoring tools, observability metrics and dashboarding tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Pager
Duty and Status
Page.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• Acquire profound knowledge of new and existing business services and its related application(s) and their underlying infrastructure and supporting technologies within your domain
• Contribute to the build; configuration; integration and deployment to production of the different software, monitoring (Zabbix, Grafana, etc. . )
• Contribute to Project Production readiness assessment or review for the business monitoring part
• Interact with various internal Monitoring, Operations and Development support functions to resolve production issues or to redesign/refine processes, procedures, delivery mechanisms and support models
• Identify and develop tools, techniques and procedures for improving the alarming, monitoring, performance, availability and reliability of applications
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies (i. e. change control, IT security standards, release management, incident management)
• Review application support documentation
• Contribute to process development and best practice. Looking at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and supportability

• Master or Bachelor degree in IT, Electronics or Industrial Engineering
• Good knowledge and experience with alerting and monitoring tools like  Zabbix, Grafana, ELK stack, Pager
  Duty, Prometheus, Kibana, Status
  Page or others
• Broad understanding of following technologies:
  • Development and scripting tools:. Net Core; C/C++; SQL; Unix shell; Python;
  • Applications : Apache; Tomcat; Jboss; Openssl;
  • DBMS: My
    SQL; Postgre
    SQL; Oracle;
  • OS: Linux/Unix; Windows;
  • Networking and security principles (TLS, DNS, firewalls, HTTP, , …);
• You show interest to use the following techniques:Gitlab; Nexus; Jenkins; Service
  Now;
• Docker; Docker Swarm; K8; Open
  Shift;
• VM Provisioning: Puppet; Ansible; Chef; Terraform;
