As a Backend Engineer at Showpad, you’re focused on driving innovation for new functionalities of our product and optimizing our existing codebase. You have full autonomy and ownership over your work, ensuring that all aspects are well-architected, including code functionality, comprehensive test automation, scalability within our cloud infrastructure, and proper monitoring.

What you will do:

A sneak peek of what your day to day will look like:
The team in the Content management domain, you will be working on projects such as bringing transcriptions, summaries and intelligent suggestions and insights to customer’s libraries
The team of the IAM domain, where you will be working on projects such as bringing new identity types to the company

You are not a coder, you are a software engineer. You love solving complex problems, building performant, scalable, low latency, and highly available services
Take active part in an autonomous team, deciding on team related items such as habits, timelines and tech direction
Develop a high affinity with your product domain and collaborate with product and design to plan and continuously develop
Paving the way on groundbreaking new features, designing and implementing architecture, developing and maintaining the team's products in a you-build-it-you-own-it philosophy
Must haves

Experience as backend engineer developing scalable, production-ready solutions
Experience with Typescript, Kotlin or Java-based coding languages
Experience designing and implementing APIs for and collaborating with internal and public data consumers
Experience in cloud computing, a plus if you have specific AWS experience (S3, Lambda, RDS, . . )
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
Understand the importance of strong software testing at every stage and can advocate for test-driven development
Continuous integration and delivery mindset
You like taking ownership of your projects and have a healthy curiosity to learn more.
