Responsibilities:
• The Category Manager is responsible for a specific spend area of Patient Supply. The role reports into the Category lead of assigned area.
• The position collaborates with business partners from Patient Supply, Global Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal and Sustainability Corp. Affairs & Risk. The role has a key impact on patient supply continuity.

- class sourcing strategies for a defined procurement portfolio and proactively manages the supplier base, in alignment with the Category Lead for the spend area.
• Creates, plans, leads, and conducts strategic sourcing and value creation initiatives that improve quality and secure supply, resulting in cost savings across functional units and the supply network.
• Provides significant external supplier and market knowledge for the category.
• Champions commercial excellence, leads commercial negotiations, and develops Master agreements to ensure the best value for
• Ensures that partnerships with strategic vendors or within the category are
- established to achieve quality, supply resilience, value creation, and innovation targets.
• Leverages external partnerships and collaborates with business partners under the leadership of Category Lead to support us growth ambition, understand and influence market trends, and advocate for

• Complies with existing regulatory requirements and guidelines for all Gx
P activities.
• Acts as a role model for ethical behavior and compliance, ensuring that everything we do aligns with values.
• Develop sourcing strategies within the defined scope, aiming to ensure high service quality, leverage commercial opportunities, mitigate risks, promote sustainability, maintain proper oversight, and enhance competitive position.
• Cultivate a solid understanding of technologies and scientific areas that will shape the future of the category.
• Within his scope, provide insights into market dynamics, conduct benchmarking, assess the competitive landscape, and gather market intelligence to identify potential new partners.
• Collaborate with key business partners to implement strategies, supported by robust implementation and transition plans.
• Create persuasive business cases for change, including

• Conduct sourcing projects, including tendering as needed, ensuring engagement from all business partners, and capturing requirements comprehensively. Provide supplier selection recommendations.
• Take charge of commercial negotiations within the defined scope. Develop commercial models based on business needs and strategic segmentation.
• Deliver and manage the lifecycle of Master agreements with key suppliers and external partners.
• Ensure standard frameworks and visibility for supply and financial risk assessment within the area of responsibility are applied.
• Ensures risk management strategies are embedded into contracts (when applicable)
• Foster and contribute to strategic supplier relationship management, aiming to generate
- term value in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and innovation, in alignment with goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
• Previous experience in Direct procurement Packaging area, Devices or Raw materials
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to build and deliver category strategy aligned with broader business objectives while identifying

- Subject matter expertise: Understand Patient Supply drivers and regulatory environment to engage in value driven discussions about Patient Supply needs and priorities.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively and transparently with an internal network of stakeholders and contract management teams. Exceptional active listening skills and receptiveness to feedback.
- Effective Communication: Exhibit verbal and written skills for negotiating contracts, resolving disputes, and setting clear expectations with the team, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Contracting Experience: understanding of contracting fundamentals and experience with complex contract planning, negotiation, execution, and maintenance.
- Supplier Partnerships: Build positive and value driven partnerships through skilled negotiation & conflict resolution techniques.
- Project Management: Drive procurement initiatives towards successful outcomes with an emphasis on delivery and change management.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient use of data analysis tools and techniques to inform
- making processes, mitigate risks, and forecast demand.
- Global Market Awareness: Make decisions informed by market trends including currency fluctuations and geopolitical factors.
- Prioritization and Time Management: Demonstrate the ability to focus on tasks, prioritize effectively to meet deadlines, and optimize productivity.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Navigate unforeseen challenges effectively by adapting to new regulations, market conditions, or technological advancements.
- Risk Management: Evaluate potential supplier risks and market volatility to minimize risk exposure and supply chain disruptions.
- Sustainability Focus: Possess a thorough knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental impact, and social responsibility. Additionally, be capable of integrating these principles into the role responsibilities.
- Ethical Standards: Maintain high ethical standards to ensure trustworthiness in financial transactions and vendor relationships.
- English: fluent – native speaker or ability to lead meetings with English native speakers.
