The Role

This role involves oversight of physical security of Defence Network Operations Centre. This includes operating the Gallagher system granting access to personnel, management of building accreditation, provision of SME security advice to Executive and USOs, and management of a small team.



A subset of the work involves management of facilities containing sensitive information, including accreditation, access and alarms. Additional duties involve sponsorship of some clearances and conduct of security and travel briefs.



Solid understanding of Defence security policies is vital, and an important aspect of this position is development and maintenance of positive working relationships with key stakeholders, both within DNOC and also in external agencies.



About our Team

The DNOC is where Defence Strategic Networks are run from, including related cyber security. The DNOC Security Team is responsible for ensuring the application of physical security policy as part of layered security to protect the facility. As such they are a key enabler to network operations.

This position works closely with contracted support providing front desk access control.

She or he is able to foster excellent working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, to provide trusted security advice to the Executive, USOs, and wider staff in DNOC.
