Country Office Manager, Romania
About the role:
The Team – The Romanian offices (one in Bucharest, and one in Timisoara) are highly productive and dynamic businesses, employing over 450 people through two main brands, Morningstar and Sustainalytics. The Corporate team unites a variety of functions at Morningstar including compliance, corporate communications, design, facilities, finance, human resources, legal, marketing, quality, strategic planning, and technology with the goal of keeping our business running smoothly.
The Role – The Country Office Manager is key to keeping a pristine space for our customers, employees, and partners. Amongst other key requirements, you will oversee the management of our facilities in Bucharest and Timisoara. Our facilities are an important contributor to making Morningstar a great place to work and visit as a client, job applicant, or vendor.
The role is a
- time job based in Bucharest or Timisoara, 5 days a week in the office.
Job responsibilities:
The role includes a range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to the following:
• Oversee Morningstar’s facilities teams based in Bucharest and Timisoara managing these offices, enhancing team engagement and performance.
• Motivate, lead, coach and monitor the performance levels of all team members ensuring the delivery of excellent service to the clients by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit.
• Ensure that employees and guests are provided with optimal customer service.
• Manage the onboarding process of new employees in a Facilities perspective.
• Provides support to EMEA and Global Facilities teams on projects.
• Provide leadership for the successful implementation of facilities projects (office moves, space restacks, etc. ).
• Ensure all internal communication related to Facilities are communicated to the appropriate staff in a timely and friendly manner.
• Be a core part of the LIMT team (Local Incident Management Team) and preferably trained in First Aid.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of Business Continuity plans.
• Lead emergency preparedness efforts.
• Manage facilities and physical security incidents and crises as they occur. Coordinate response to enterprise facilities incidents by facilitating communications, assisting with the business recovery process, and organizing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure that health and safety policies are up to date.
• Ensure compliance of the office with regulation, including the Health & Safety domain.
• Implement and monitor adherence to global facilities policies and procedures.
• Ensure facility procedures comply with local regulations.
• Efficiently contribute to plan and organize company and team meetings/events.
• Prepare and monitor operating budget and ensure all associated activities are accomplished within budgetary considerations.
• Negotiate contracts with Facilities suppliers.
• Continually evaluate the service that we receive from suppliers and act to improve areas where they may be falling short.
• Maintain positive relationships with tenants,
- contractors, suppliers, architects, consultants, and employees.
Qualifications:
• Fluent in Romanian and English.
• A minimum of 5-year experience in facilities and/or operational management.
• Must be a
- driven,
- oriented individual obsessed with continuous improvement.
• Planning and organizational skills – prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes in scope or direction and be flexible in adopting changes quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree.
