For our business partner, an international company that excels in innovative solutions for fluid and gas transport, lightweight casting, and precision manufacturing, we are seeking an ambitious Data Engineer.

In this role, you will build and maintain the global Data Management platform. In collaboration with the team, other departments, and external service providers, you will drive the data management.

Main task

• Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
• Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering
  - driven
  - making across the organization.
• Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
• Writes unit/integration tests, contributes to engineering wiki, and documents work.
• Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot
  - related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
• Works closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.
• Defines company data assets (data models), spark, spark
  SQL, and hive
  SQL jobs to populate data models.
• Design data integrations and data quality framework.
• Designs and evaluates open source and vendor tools for data lineage.
• Works closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop a strategy for
  - term data platform architecture

Your profile

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Expert in working with Informatica (IDMC, CDQ, Power Center).
• Good experience in end-to-end data processing (ETL/ELT).
  
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.  
• Experience in API development (Java, Node. js, Type
  Script).
• Working experience working with Azure (Dev
  Ops, Data Factory, Databricks, Data
  Lake).
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken fluency in English, ideally also in German.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, or computer science.
