Role description:

We are looking for a motivated Data engineering lead to join us in Timișoara, Romania. You will be leading the development of data infrastructure and processes supporting our data products as well as internal BI needs.

• Design, develop, and own data infrastructure;
• Provide guidance, direction and coaching while observing key business objectives;
• Data governance;
• Implement systems to track data quality, consistency and lineage;
• Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources, engage with 3rd party data vendors, develop relationships with other engineering teams to manage our data structures as the Kemiex product and business needs evolve
• Work independently and take initiative to identify, explore and solve problems;
• Help democratize data while maintaining necessary access restriction;
• Implement data visualization and dashboarding solutions that help the business leverage/operationalize analytical insights to drive performance

Profile:

• You are a jack of all trades, entrepreneurial, forward thinking and have got positive energy. You are naturally inspiring to those around you, often seen as a mentor.
• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or Software Engineering role, with a focus on building data pipelines, or applications powered by big data;
• Knowledge of Python and SQL;
• Knowledge of modern data / computing infrastructure and frameworks.

• Today we use Preset, Great expectations, Postgre
  SQL, Big
  Query, Data Studio and Superset. You should be familiar with them or equivalents;
• The ability to communicate
  - functionally, derive requirements and architect shared datasets;
• A technical / analytical mindset and good English communication skills;

• Experience with
  - based modelling and stream processing
• Practical experience with web scraping and web technologies in general
