Database Developer Migration Project | On-Site Bucharest, Romania | Long-Term Assignment

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to join a
- scale data migration project in Bucharest, Romania. This
- time,
- site role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining databases for seamless data migration, ensuring high performance, security, and integrity. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL development, stored procedures, ETL processes, and database optimization across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Postgre
SQL.

This is a

Key Responsibilities

Database Development & Optimization:

Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for database performance.

Design and implement schemas, indexing strategies, and partitioning to improve database efficiency.

Optimize query execution plans and database performance metrics.

Data Migration & ETL Processes:

Assist in data extraction, transformation, and migration across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, and other databases.

Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), or Apache Ni
Fi.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the migration process.

Database Security & Maintenance:

Implement database security policies, including
- based access control and encryption.

Perform database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration & Documentation:

Work closely with DBAs, Data Engineers, and Data Architects to ensure smooth integration.

Maintain technical documentation of database structures, queries, and procedures.

Support troubleshooting and provide solutions for
- related issues.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Developer.

Proficiency in SQL development for Oracle (PL/SQL), Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL), and Postgre
SQL.

Experience in ETL tools such as SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Apache Ni
Fi.

Knowledge of No
SQL databases like Mongo
DB, Cassandra is a plus.

Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and optimization.

Hands-on experience with
- based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL) is an advantage.

Strong analytical and
- solving skills for data migration challenges.

Fluent in English; Romanian is a plus.
