Job Description

A Development Consultant understands the technical landscape of IT projects, comprehends the business context and goals, and uses their experience to develop optimal solutions, including technology and design choices. They support the project manager in planning software delivery, articulate the vision to both technical and
- technical stakeholders, and work directly with customers to define solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based microservices that power TV streaming platforms.
• Optimize backend performance for
  - latency content delivery and seamless user experiences.
• Work with
  - driven architectures to support
  - throughput data processing.
• Ensure API performance, security, and reliability, integrating RESTful and Graph
  QL services.
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to develop efficient
  -
  - frontend (BFF) solutions.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code, following best practices in Python development.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and establish engineering standards.
• Work with cloud infrastructure to deploy and manage scalable backend services.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security, making proactive optimizations.
• Collaborate with Dev
  Ops and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to ensure smooth operation in production environments.

• 5+ years of experience in Python backend development.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and API design.
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency in
  - driven architectures (e. g. , Kafka, Rabbit
  MQ).
• Hands-on experience with SQL and No
  SQL databases (e. g. , Postgre
  SQL, Dynamo
  DB, Redis).
• Deep understanding of scalable and distributed systems.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code (e. g. , Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong
  - solving skills and ability to work in an agile development environment.

Nice to have: 

• Experience with video streaming technologies (HLS, DASH, DRM).
• Knowledge of Graph
  QL and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns.
• Exposure to machine learning models for video recommendations.
• Experience with observability tools (e. g. , Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Background in serverless computing and
  - driven cloud architectures.
