Ops Engineer | Cloud Infrastructure & Automation
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Dev
Ops Engineer to lead the implementation, migration, and optimization of cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure automation, cloud deployment, and CI/CD processes. This role involves collaborating with development teams, maintaining and configuring systems, and driving automation to improve development, testing, and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Platform Implementation:
- Lead the migration of legacy ecosystems to modern cloud platforms.
- Create and manage infrastructure for new applications using cloud technologies.
- Infrastructure Management:
- Maintain existing and new VMs, troubleshoot issues, and manage system configurations.
- Implement Bash scripting for automation and system maintenance.
- Integration & Automation:
- Integrate external data sources such as Mainframe and Data Lakes.
- Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
- Implement automation to enhance development, testing, and release processes.
- Problem-Solving & Software Updates:
- Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement:
- Work closely with software developers and engineers to ensure adherence to established processes.
- Create scripts and templates to build development systems for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Technologies Used
- Cloud Platforms: Open
Stack (Compute, Storage, Database provisioning), AWS, Kubernetes. - Automation Tools: Terraform, Ansible.
- Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker.
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Git
Hub. - Scripting & Programming: Python, Bash, Unix.
- Monitoring & Web Servers: ELK, Apache/Nginx.
- Optional: Experience with Neo4J.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role as a Dev
Ops Engineer. - Strong experience with:
- Terraform & Ansible or Kubernetes & Docker.
- Unix, Bash scripting, Jenkins, and Git
Hub.
- Knowledge of ELK, Apache/Nginx, and Markdown.
- Experience with Python for automation and scripting tasks.
- Fluent in English.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Neo4J.
