Location: Remote (UK Business Hours)
Job Type: Freelance / Contract
⏳ Work Commitment: Up to 4 days per week (24-32 hours per week) ✨ Role is
- loaded, and will drop down to 1-2 days per week.
Duration: March to Sept (Possibility of renewal)
Rate: Up to £200-250 GBP per day based on experience
Languages: Fluency in English, both verbally & in writing, is mandatory
About the Role

Ops Engineer to help build and maintain cloud infrastructure and processes for a

S project expected to be a

You will collaborate with technical & delivery leadership to plan and implement technical direction, focussing on developer operations. You will empower the small
- knit team as it designs & implements

- end a rich SPA web client, complex backing services & APIs and all the plumbing to bring a product to life. As the team tackles topics like:
- Real-time messaging & notifications and CMS/DAMs/DBs featuresets & services
- Third party data, data science & lake workflows & platform integrations
- Single,
- tenant and
- tenant standards compliant solution design & delivery - You’ll be both supported & afforded a lot of autonomy to define & ensure dev
Ops excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement & maintain auditable CI/CD pipelines in code, to enable seamless deployments to environments.
- Help design & manage environments, and troubleshoot infrastructure & deployment issues, in a systematic, reproducible & auditable manner, to ensure compliance and proper functioning.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends & technological advancements, so you can bring your informed opinion & insights to bear to ensure a high quality outcome that all can enjoy implementing and be proud of.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Dev
Ops, cloud or site reliability engineering working with others collaboratively. - Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go) for dev
Ops purposes and familiarity with Typescript or a desire to learn it.
Expertise in:
- Big 3 cloud platform services & solutions, particularly AWS (such as Aurora / RDS, Dynamo
DB, Lambda, S3, Cloud
Watch, ECS / EKS, Cognito, Cloud
Front, VPCs and so on) - Modern Dev
Ops principles & practices (such as Dev
Sec
Ops & git
Ops, true CI/CD with container orchestration, Ia
C, SAST & Pa
C) and technologies (such as Pulumi, Terraform/CDKTF, Docker & Kubernetes, Github Actions or similar). - Identifying and applying infrastructure best practices relating to security, availability & cost optimisation concerns (such as OWASP top 10, GDPR, PII & ISO27001,
- availability & fault tolerance, scaling & orchestration).
