Role Description

As a finance manager, you are responsible for all financial aspects of adesso Romania. You influence the financial direction of our company.

With a practical attitude, you perform your work smoothly, thoroughly, and carefully, with a focus on accuracy and completeness. You are collaborating with the management team, directing the planning and control cycle.

You report to and are the sparring partner of the Managing Director. Together with your colleagues from the financial administration, you are responsible for all core finance processes. You are the designated person for all financial related issues, both for all colleagues and towards external parties (suppliers, banks, accountants, and tax authorities).

You act as a financial controller for the supplied consulting services to our clients and you are responsible for the billing process and issuing the monthly invoices according to the commercial agreements.

You analyze the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, actuals vs. budget, and identify deviations. Together with the Managing Director, you discuss guidelines for uniform processes and reporting. Together you define the main business drivers, looking at commercial, operational, and financial KPIs.

You ensure a smooth periodic closing, looking at variance analyses. You will share monthly reports with the Control team in Germany.

You identify the need for quality improvements and can initiate and implement process improvements.

Specifically, you will take on the following tasks in your role:

• Financial control of delivered IT Consulting Services, identify and report timesheet deviations to German counterparts
• Preparation and issuing of invoices
• Controlling and management of supplier invoices
• Assist with the
  - end closing process.
• Perform various checks for completeness and accuracy of figures.
• Preparation of monthly internal and external reports.
• Assist management in forecasting and budgeting process.
• Act as a sparring partner for the executive team on various financial issues.
• Manage key controls and monitor KPIs.

YOUR SKILLS - THIS IS WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Economics or Finance
• You are fluent both in German and English
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting, (Financial) Control, or as a Finance Manager
• You have a sense of automation and extensive knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with Power BI is a plus.
• You are enthusiastic, show commitment and proactively look for opportunities and possibilities to improve the organization.
• You are flexible and pragmatic.
• You have good communication skills.
• You can maintain an overview and take a critical stance when necessary.
