Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Global Software Development Director located in Timisoara or Budapest site.

Reporting to the VP for Design, Process and Technology Engineering, the Global Software Development Director will be responsible for leading the global capacity in Software development and execution for our Automotive products.

What a typical day looks like:

Manage an international team of global SW developer team, testers and business analysts, including external service providers

Set goals, strategies, budgets, and oversee planning and execution of
- scale projects among multiple stakeholders

Plan resources for the various projects and evaluate staff performance together with team leaders

Be a catalyst for career development and growth of our team of developers and business analysts

Support the recruiting of engineering personnel, technical staffing and project team formation

Support the team through design, development and maintenance of software applications

Prepare technology roadmap for our R&D departments

Promote best engineering practices through solid design decisions, processes and tools

Supervise training and development of software engineering staff

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Senior experience in automotive software development, leading software engineering teams (e. g. monitoring junior engineers, setting technical direction etc. )

Senior experience in agile software development, where programming languages like C/C++ have been applied, with a strong expertise in ASPICE and Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies and AUTOSAR Software modules

The ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and organizational skills as well as a problem solving attitude

The strong interest in leading a team and establishing a creative and positive work environment

Experience in cloud infrastructure,

- code and high load systems.

Experience in defining system level architecture and design for automotive embedded applications

Good
- on experience with design patterns, OOPs concepts in automotive embedded systems

Knowledge of embedded SW development process (full V-cycle), control unit diagnosis and using tools like Bitbucket/Git and JIRA

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build tools and Microcontroller knowledge

Familiar with high performance computing, hypervisor, RTOS like QNX
