Role Overview
We’re seeking a Head of Business Development with strong experience generating and managing high contract value deals (average $2m ACV) in business services, which will lead both inbound and outbound sales and partnership efforts across our group. This role is
- intensive (>2 weeks/month) across mostly Europe, Asia, and Africa. Ownership and entrepreneurial spirit are highly desirable.
- On the inbound side, you’ll be a strategic partner for the opportunities that arise and you’ll put together the right strategy, plan, and proposal by working in collaboration with the right departments (product, marketing, etc), leading the opportunity through proposal, contract negotiation and eventually handover to account management.
- On the outbound side, you’ll be creating strategies, and systems, managing teams, and building relationships with potential clients to drive business in the future.
You’ll be leading the transition from mostly
- led sales done by our CEO, Lucian Despoiu, at the
- level, and taking over this role from him as a specialized executive.

- Secure High-Value Contracts: Consistently achieve and exceed annual revenue targets by closing
- million $ deals. - Develop New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new leads, expanding our client base and market reach.
- Build Strategic Client Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that deliver results.
- Lead Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals that showcase our unique value proposition and differentiate us from competitors.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, production, PR) to develop integrated communication solutions that meet client objectives.
Main Responsibilities

- Manage the Sales Process: Gradually take over the

- end sales process from the CEO and Founder. - Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients. Coordinate with internal departments to create the right cohesive strategy and plan. Form and maintain a deep understanding of all the various offerings within our group and turn that into an integrated client solution.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms that ensure satisfaction on all sides.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status. Provide regular reports to management.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.

- Strategy: Set up outbound strategies and tactics to generate new opportunities and leads in a considerable $ amount.
- Execution: Project manages the resources, tools, and automation to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
- Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role within the communications or marketing industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing
- value contracts (ACV $2 million+). - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally (2+ weeks per month).
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in strategic communication, including polling, data collection, influencer marketing, and programmatic advertising is considered a big plus.
- Understanding of media production and international public relations.
- A strong network of industry contacts.
- Experience working with political or government clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.

Important Note: This role is based remotely, but preference will be given to candidates based in Europe due to the concentration of clients in European and Asian time zones.
