Mission

The Payments Tribe purpose revolves around the needs of all users of ING. It focuses on the entire spectrum of the core payments bank capabilities, enabling superior digital customer experience and enabling efficient internal process of payments processing, reporting and reconciliations while ensure state of the art security , integrity and resilience of the payments flows.

The IT Area Lead of Payments acts as the CIO of the area. You are responsible for driving the technical vision across the Tribe’s squads. You wisely balance between delivering secure, high quality, robust systems which are fit for the rigors of the local market while leveraging global tech capabilities that the ING group provides, forging an
- level partnership with the Tribe Lead, relentlessly investing in the development of the engineers, and tackling technical and
- financial risk debt.

On a broader perspective, together with Enterprise Architecture you own the vision of how the technical landscape for the payments architecture will evolve. You set the standards for your area and take responsibility for developing, innovating, safeguarding, and multiplying knowledge.

Ops culture, where engineers have sufficient capacity and an effective way of working to deal with any issues that might hamper the System’s Reliability.
