About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Manager with expertise in retail IT operations,
- commerce platforms, mobile app launches and digital
- store tools. In this role, you will ensure seamless IT operations and project execution across our retail and online channels in Croatia. You will act as the primary liaison between central IT, local teams, and external vendors while driving innovation and customer satisfaction through robust IT and digital solutions.

This position involves functional reporting to the Europe & Middle East IT Store Efficiency Head and hierarchical reporting to the Greece & Balkans Digital Director.

Key Responsibilities

Retail IT Expertise

• Oversee and support retail-specific IT applications, including checkout systems, electronic payment platforms, and digital tools for
  - store operations.
• Drive adoption and optimization of digital
  - store solutions, such as clienteling apps, electronic shelf labels, and traffic counters, ensuring alignment with the latest retail trends.
• Define and execute IT strategies that enhance both the
  - store and
  - commerce customer journey.

E-commerce & Mobile App Launch Expertise

• Lead the IT delivery of e-commerce projects, ensuring seamless integration between online platforms, backend systems, and store operations.
• Oversee the successful rollout of mobile application, focusing on functionality, user experience, and backend support for omnichannel engagement.
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to implement and optimize features such as click-and-collect, mobile checkout, and loyalty integrations.
• Manage testing, piloting, and deployment phases for mobile and online platform, delivering on time and within scope.

 IT Support & Collaboration:

• Act as a bridge between the Central IT team and local operations to support store IT applications, with a focus on the checkout application.
• Build strong relationships with the Greece & Balkans Head Office and local store teams to address IT-related needs effectively.
• Define and implement robust support processes in collaboration with stores.

Vendor Management & Performance:

• Benchmark, select, and oversee IT service providers and suppliers involved in implementing and maintaining IT systems in Croatia stores.
• Monitor service levels and ensure adherence to agreed SLAs.

Project Management

• Lead IT projects such as store openings and the launch of new
  - commerce platforms or mobile apps, ensuring
  - time delivery and
  - quality execution.
• Oversee local IT infrastructure and digital solutions to ensure alignment with corporate security, compliance, and scalability standards.
• Manage IT budgets and resources, delivering results while maintaining cost efficiency.

Training & Documentation

• Partner with the Retail and Digital teams to create comprehensive training programs for store staff and
  - commerce teams on IT tools, mobile apps, and digital workflows.
• Develop and maintain
  - friendly documentation to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption of new platforms.

Technical Scope

• Retail checkout applications (aligned with local fiscal regulations)
• Electronic payment solutions and integration
• Digital clienteling tools for enhanced customer engagement
• In-store digital tools: electronic shelf labels, traffic counters, Tax-Free applications
• IT hardware configurations: PDAs, label printers,
  - store screens
• Network and connectivity infrastructure for store operations

Functional & Geographic Scope

• Geographic: Romania HQ (Croatia, with travel from Romania headquarters when needed)
• Functional: Collaboration across all business units, including
  - commerce, retail, and digital marketing teams in the Balkans and Greece region.

What You Bring:

• A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in retail IT,
  - commerce platforms, and mobile app delivery.
• Proven expertise in e-commerce development and mobile app launches, with a strong understanding of omnichannel customer journeys.
• A track record of delivering IT solutions that enhance retail efficiency and drive customer engagement.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee complex
  - functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent
  - solving skills and a customer-first mindset, with the ability to support
  - users in both retail and online environments.
• Analytical and structured thinking with the ability to deliver actionable insights to improve system performance.
• Fluent in English, with the willingness to travel and support
  - border operations when needed.
