About the role:
We're growing fast and looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team and make an impact on how Authors worldwide submit their research for groundbreaking discoveries in science.
We are looking for
- level engineers, with at least 3 years of professional experience, and with a learning attitude. If you don’t have the needed years of experience but feel that you have the skills to perform this job; showcase your projects that demonstrate your abilities and apply!

Java 17, Selenide for UI and Rest

Containers are used for integration tests.
Jenkins for running tests, Allure for reporting.
The code is on Git
Hub.
Microservice architecture, communication via HTTP and JMS.
Monitoring via Kibana and Dynatrace.
How you will make an impact:
Develop, and maintain key systems and features.
Help the Software quality assurance team as part of the Scrum team to deliver
- quality releases on time. We release code to production multiple times a week.
Learn and follow Agile Scrum methodology for software development and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
Deploy Microservices in our Stage and Production environment.
Build and maintain Microservices that power our platform.
Troubleshoot issues in systems under test and production environment.
Implement new features and enhance existing ones based on user requirements.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
Collaborate with team members to identify and fix technical issues.
Participate in technical squads that are created to tackle systemic improvements.
Write and maintain documentation for development processes.
What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Strong knowledge of Java language programming and advanced concepts
Hands-on experience using Spring boot.
Experience building RESTful APIs and Web services is a plus.
Experience with JMS and Kafka
Familiarity with writing unit tests such as JUnit, Mockito etc.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git is required and
- on experience in Linux Operating System is desirable.
Object-oriented software analysis and good analytical skills.
A good understanding of relational databases.
Strong organizational skills and oral/written communication skills in English.
Team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and has a positive attitude to learn new things.
A
- solver who can both identify challenges and is taking decisive actions to tackle them.
Demonstrated ability to balance and prioritize activities to ensure critical items are completed.
Desired skills that will help you thrive in this position:
Familiarity with Postgre
SQL.
Experience with either Jenkins, Docker, or AWS Cloud is a plus.
Experience in Monitoring Platforms like Dynatrace, New Relic, etc is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology for software development.
