Junior Configuration Engineer
Description:
THE ROLE AND YOUR MISSION
• Have a good understanding all processes and ways of working in Configuration Engineering
• Be aware of Darwin’s capabilities and limitations
• Create Darwin-wide configuration based on clear specifications, using Darwin Configuration Language
• Interpret and translate business requirements for benefit templates, into technical requirements
• Update / Fix Darwin wide configuration based on change requests / bugs
• Follow the DCL standards in terms of naming and design of the configuration file
• Assist other CEs and Darwin Support teams with the debugging of templates
• Maintain an updated status for tasks, using the available tools (JIRA/Confluence) and meet agreed project deadlines and SLAs
• Produce documentation to reflect the content and available options of released templates, actively contributing to our knowledge base
• Create basic reports using DCL and basic Reward Centre layouts (Home Page / Selection / TRS)

Essential skills:
• Excellent spoken and written English and Romanian languages
• Ability to operate independently in a
- paced, ambiguous, global environment
• Able to work based on priorities and achieve objectives on schedule with high quality and with good planning and scheduling skills
• Knowledge of basic programing algorithms
• Good
- solving skills and work well in a team
• Technical aptitude: quickly learn and understand new technologies
• Proactive and
- motivated with the ability to produce results with minimum supervision
• Analytical and problem solving skills, with good attention to details
• Have a big appetite to learn to write code
Delivery & Project Management:
• Follows processes and ways of working consistently
• Holds accountability for the
- assignation and progression of Jira tickets
• Follows up on a daily / weekly / monthly basis on all projects assigned based on their priority and importance and keeps all relevant stakeholders informed
• Informs all relevant stakeholders if any tasks cannot be performed or are delayed by internal or external factors
• Tests and reviews their own work before sending it to peer and code review
• Understands business needs and can deliver based on requirements
