Shaping a Sustainable Future - What does reliable sustainability reporting look like? How can companies prepare for the upcoming changes in corporate reporting and transparently communicate their impact on the environment, people, and society? And who ensures the accuracy of these reports?

Assuming Responsibility – As a Junior Sustainability Consultant at Forvis Mazars, you will be at the forefront of addressing these essential ESG questions. You will participate in a variety of projects where you can apply and expand your knowledge, quickly developing both professionally and personally. Your role will be to support the implementation of ESG strategies, policies, and standards/regulations for our clients, helping them build functional capabilities, knowledge, and skills within their sustainability teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various sustainability projects, including sustainability reporting and assurance, ESG strategy development, GHG management, decarbonization plans, environmental impact assessments, and ESG due diligence studies.
• Contribute to projects of different sizes, ensuring
  - quality work is delivered on time and within the assigned budget.
• Demonstrate high intrinsic motivation and a strong passion for sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Economics, or other relevant technical fields, with a strong academic record. A Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering or Economics is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of sustainability concepts.
• Understanding of national and EU environmental regulations.
• Technical certification in
  - related areas (e. g. , environmental management systems, sustainability reporting frameworks) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to use appropriate business and technical language in professional reports.
