About Our Client
Our client is in the maritime industry. We are looking for an experienced Marine Engineer Surveyor for their growing team in Romania.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Carrying out marine damage and loss prevention surveys onboard ships (H&M, P&I, Yachts)
- Preparing reports on survey findings with particular emphasis on the nature, extent, and cause of damage
- Communicating with clients
- Undertaking internal project work
- Communicating with and appointing specialists and subcontractors, as necessary
- Communicating with the other offices of the company
Candidate Requirements
- University graduate with experience in the Technical or Operations department of shipping companies
- Similar experience in the related field
- Merchant Marine Academy graduate with seagoing experience on tankers, dry cargo, or container ships is a plus
- Able to travel
- Proficient in the English language
- Very good knowledge of IT systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure, organized and
- oriented - Able to multitask and prioritize using good time management skills
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision and also working as part of a team
