Plan the launch activities schedule for the factory.
Responsibilities:
• Plan the launch activities schedule for the factory, integrating MPS, SIOP, line capacity and operators.
• Create and update a 24-month plan for product launches and monitor the readiness status for launch from the product, factory and suppliers’ perspective.
• Create and update a 12-month plan for product, process or supplier changes.
• Create and update a 3-month plan for
- series batches,
-
- rate, PPAP and SOP and ensure the integration of these batches in the MPS and SIOP planning for sufficient line and operator capacity allocation.
• Coordinate the realization of
- series batches, PPAP and
- up to achieve time, quality and efficiency objectives.
• Receive, review and admit special production requests from the Program Managers team.
• Plan the production of special series on lines and shift in collaboration with the Supply and Production department.
• Coordinate the receipt, storage and inventory of unapproved materials.
• Initiate and validate the preparation of component kits, including quality inspection and subassembly preparation.
• Coordinate the presence on the line during production of trained operators and manufacturing engineers.
• Initiate and validate the inspection and measurement of finished samples.
• Ensure the packaging and transport of samples according to customer requirements.
• Ensure provisions for scraps and old materials.
• Record problems encountered during
- series production and escalate to the involved functions and teams.
• Measure the performance of launch activities and determine continuous improvements in launch processes.
• Identify and implement improvement actions in the factory and in the client organization team to cover performance gaps vs objective.
• Present periodic reports of the launch activity and actions to the factory’s managerial team. •
• Relate directly with customers and customer management teams to coordinate and support the launch activity.
• Participate in regular phone conferences with customer managers regarding the factory’s launch activities, to present the status and plans.
• Plan customer visits to the factory, including production audits.
• Participate in the PEP expert network, to continuously improve the management of launch activities.
• Participate in the Launch Readiness Review teleconferences every 2 weeks, to review the status of launches and escalate problems.
• Participate monthly in the PM metrics review conference and quarterly in the PM meetings to share results and best practices, and define improvement actions.
• Actively promote the use of PEP tools and project management methods within the organization.
• Act in accordance with Honeywell’s behavior attributes and achieve performance objectives set by the manager through the HPD system.
• Use the LSW tool in daily activities and review its content quarterly.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the factory’s performance: constantly identify opportunities for loss elimination and propose solutions to improve their own activity and the factory.
• Propose the number of Kaizen ideas/month in accordance with the factory’s objectives.
We Need:
Degree or Equivalent in Engineering Discipline;
Experience in supply chain / manufacturing / planning.
Fluent in English
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Proven problem solving skills, including ability to interpret data, define actions, and implement solutions
