Key Responsibilities:
Windows Server Management and Active Directory
- Oversee the installation and configuration of Windows Server operating systems, ensuring they are set up according to best practices and meet the organization's specific requirements;
- Continuously monitor server performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement and implement optimizations to ensure servers run efficiently;
- Develop and execute a comprehensive patch management strategy to keep Windows servers (and clients) up to date with the latest security updates and bug fixes;
- Implement and manage virtualization technologies (e. g. VMware) to create and manage virtual machines, optimizing resource utilization;
- Implement security measures to harden Windows servers, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection systems, and access controls;
- Create, modify, and manage user accounts and groups in Active Directory. Ensure proper permissions and access control are in place;
- Design, maintain and enforce group policies to control user settings, security settings, and software deployments throughout the organization;
- Maintain and optimize domain controllers, including replication, DNS, and domain trust relationships;
- Ensure seamless integration of Active Directory with other systems and applications to enable centralized authentication and access control;
- Enforce security policies within Active Directory and auditing to comply with industry standards and regulations;
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Active Directory, including replication problems, authentication failures, and permissions errors;
- Maintain detailed documentation of Active Directory configurations and activities. Generate reports on user account management, security settings, and directory health;
- Plan for the scalability of Active Directory to accommodate the organization's growth, ensuring it remains robust and responsive.
Linux Server Administration:
- Configure, secure, and maintain Linux servers, supporting various distributions (e. g. , Cent
OS, Ubuntu, Red Hat); - Manage services, applications, and packages in the Linux environment;
- Manage server configurations, ensuring that each server operates efficiently; securely, and consistently, using automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef;
- Implement security hardening measures, including firewall setup, intrusion detection systems, and access control to safeguard the server against potential threats;
- Administer file systems, disk partitions, and storage devices, regularly monitoring disk usage and optimizing data storage;
- Utilize package management systems (e. g. , APT, YUM) to install, update, and remove software packages and maintain package repositories;
- Develop and implement a patch management strategy to keep the Linux server up to date with security patches and software updates while minimizing downtime;
- Manage virtual machines or containers (e. g. , Docker, Kubernetes) to enhance resource utilization and support the deployment of applications;
- Diagnose and resolve
- related issues, such as system crashes, software errors, network connectivity problems, and application failures; - Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, changes, and incidents. Generate reports on server performance, security status, and compliance;
- Implement
- source technologies to support critical services, such as web hosting, databases, and application servers; - Troubleshoot Linux-specific issues and provide effective solutions.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, provisioning, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure on GCP, including virtual machines, networks, and storage, in accordance with company and group practices;
- Optimize resource allocation and cost management within GCP;
- Utilize GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Big
Query to meet the organization's specific needs; - Ensure high availability, scalability, and security in GCP services.
Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of IT professionals specializing in Microsoft, Linux, and GCP, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering professional growth;
- Coordinate tasks, set priorities, and ensure the team's work aligns with the organization's IT strategy.
System Integration:
- Facilitate interoperability between Microsoft, Linux, and GCP systems, ensuring seamless data sharing and process automation;
- Resolve any integration issues and improve overall system synergy.
Disaster Recovery and Backup:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup procedures to safeguard critical data in all environments;
- Conduct regular testing of these plans to ensure they are effective.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc. ), or equivalent work experience;
- A minimum of 5 years of
- on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux administration, and 3 years on GCP infrastructure management; - Relevant cloud certifications (e. g. , Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified) are highly desirable;
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) and scripting languages (e. g. , Power
Shell, Bash, Python) for streamlining administrative tasks; - In-depth knowledge of network architecture, security best practices, and virtualization technologies;
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successful infrastructure projects;
- Exceptional
- solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to infrastructure challenges; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to articulate complex technical concepts, and strong presentation skills;
- Strong

Working Conditions (optional):
- Works in an office environment, but may also work remotely or

- The position may require occasional travel;
- The role may require working outside of regular business hours to troubleshoot issues or perform maintenance tasks, and may be part of an
- call rotation for production support.
