What you will do

• Design & Development: architect, develop, and maintain
  - quality Android applications using Kotlin; build flexible,
  - driven mobile components that perform seamlessly across phones, tablets, and desktop views; integrate companion features or enhancements for Roku devices to create a cohesive
  - platform streaming experience.
  
  

• Lifecycle Management: oversee the full Android development lifecycle—from initial concept to App Store release and ongoing updates; troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to ensure smooth and reliable app operations.
  
  

• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: work closely with product managers and design teams to ensure
  - time,
  - centric feature development; lead integration and management of CI/CD pipelines using Git
  Hub Actions and other modern build tools; participate in
  - call rotations and incident management, ensuring swift resolution of production issues.
  
  

Must haves 

• Technical Expertise: 3+ years of commercial Android development experience; proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and modern Android frameworks and libraries; demonstrated experience in building extensible,
  - driven Android software, integrating with RESTful APIs, JSON-RPC, g
  RPC, or similar protocols.
  
  

• Roku Experience: familiarity with Roku development (e. g. , Bright
  Script, Roku SDK, Scene
  Graph) to support integration of companion features between mobile apps and Roku streaming devices.
  
  

• Process & Collaboration: experience working in a
  - developer environment, including managing App Store build creation, submission, and deployment; a strong advocate for
  - specific CI/build infrastructure and automated testing; excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with a keen eye for monitoring, alerting, and code coverage best practices.
  
  

• Industry Awareness: up-to-date with current mobile trends, emerging technologies, and modern development approaches to continually elevate product quality.
  
  

• Upper-intermediate level of English.
