For our Plant in Tarnaveni we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our team and play an important role in its success.  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• University degree in Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent education

• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the B2B industrial manufacturing environment in an international company, ideally in continuous manufacturing process

• Excellent leadership and change management skills in a manufacturing environment (engineering, manufacturing) ideally involving a larger site or multiple sites 

• Experience of communication and liaison with various stake holders and regulatory authorities

• Experience in managing industrial safety risks in heavy industry 

• Experience of international assignment, being exposed to different culture and environment 

• Excellent negotiation / influence skills

• Ability to engage and communicate with and influence all levels within the organization

• Financial acumen and a willingness for continuous improvement.  

• Experience with the requirements Management standards, ISO Standards and HSEE 

• Experience in skill matrixes, succession management 

• Languages: Fluent in English, (French and German is an asset).  

Key Responsibilities: 

•  The Plant Manager ensures the smooth running of operations on the site to which he is attached.

• Represent the guarantor of industrial risk prevention and safety in accordance with the regulatory and operational context

•  Ensuring outstanding communication on site, considering all aspects of the change. This includes ongoing transparency of the strategic direction of the plant across the Knauf Insulation Group glass wool plants

• Manage plant performance in line with budgetary KPI's, including OEE, spinners efficiency, manufacturing costs, etc.

• Drive outstanding financial performance: the plant will be known for its excellent technical knowledge and leadership within the glass wool plant family. One of the tasks of the plant manager is also to take a proactive role in achieving better cost and efficiency awareness (variance analysis, portfolio profitability analysis, etc. ); 

• Establish effective management of the plant management team

• Driving cultural change throughout the organization 

•  Plant Manager is tasked with maintaining and improving the current position for continuous improvement in line with other glass wool plants in Europe and APAC (TPM, 5S, CI, lean manufacturing etc. )

•  Participates for 10% of his/her time in activities that are directly related to research and development. These activities are interdependent with projects that are validated by management in direct relation to the group's strategy. These activities correspond to the criteria of novelty, creativity, uncertainty, systematic and transferable
