- class. For our B2B products and internal or assistive tooling for SEO, SEM, CMS or CRM we lean towards stacks that are extremely flexible and adaptable for rapid turnaround.

The role of the Principal Engineer is to enable the team to make the right choices in terms of solutions and technology as well as keeping an eye on the implementation. Hard problems like systems integration, data integrity, optimisation and other aspects of software development where experience is vital will primarily fall under this role. Rapid prototyping of ideas also falls under the same role.

As a Principal Engineer you will be given little direction. Instead, we will make sure you have the right context with regard to the business objectives, the available resources and the limitations so you can make the right decisions about how we should approach each project.

Experience and pragmatism

This role is for somebody who has been through many releases of
- related products built from the ground up.

What we expect is:

• University Degree in CS, CE or closely related
• At least 10 years of experience writing code professionally
• A good understanding of all common data structures andability to write complex algorithms
• Ability to design complex software systems with multiple parts across multiple technologies
• Excellent skills in optimising systems for speed, memory, storage or operating costs
• Some degree of familiarity with modern web technologies and solution patterns including service providers for hosted services such as IAAS, PAAS or more specialised services (e. g. search, storage, db, caching, etc)

Technology

While knowing our stack is definitely an advantage, it is not by any means a disqualifying factor:

• Python 3, Django, Java
  Script, React, Redux, Node. js, Express
• Other technologies and services: Universal Web Apps, Machine Learning, Celery, Rabbit
  MQ, Redis, Heroku, AWS, Algolia, CDN’s
