Project Manager (relocation to Belgium)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.
As a Project Manager, you will manage both internal and external projects predominantly in a remote environment, ensuring seamless communication and leadership across all teams involved. Your responsibilities will include:
- Meetings and Communication:
- Prepare materials and speaking points for online meetings.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders on both policy topics and technical issues.
- Lead virtual team meetings, ensuring regular
- ins with team members and the IT Portfolio Manager.
- Collaboration with IT Portfolio Manager and Business Owner:
- Prepare and maintain project management documents using PM2 methodology.
- Draft Project Status Reports and actively participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Estimate timescales and resource needs to meet project objectives.
- Monitor project progress and resource utilization, ensuring project delivery within set timelines.
- Assist the IT Portfolio Manager in managing
- price contracts.
- Internal IT Team Management:
- Provide effective leadership to the internal IT team, ensuring constant development and motivation.
- Prioritize, plan, and monitor the IT team’s workload in collaboration with the IT Lead.
- Work closely with the Business Analyst on system requirements and testing plans.
- Manage and update the project management and business requirements on Confluence.
- Outsourced IT Team Collaboration:
- Lead and monitor the activities of outsourced IT teams.
- Participate in release planning and functional working groups.
- Validate deliverables, ensuring they meet the requirements and project management standards.
Qualifications
The following expertise is mandatory:
- Project Management:
- 10+ years of experience in project management standards and methodologies (including Project Scheduling, Strategic Planning, and Performance Tracking).
- 5+ years of experience using PM2 methodology.
- 4+ years of experience in Agile methodology.
- 6+ years of expertise in Meeting Facilitation.
- 8+ years of experience in reporting methods and the use of project management tools such as MS Project and Microsoft Excel.
- 3+ years of experience with Confluence and Jira.
- Certifications:
- PRINCE2 Foundation or PM2 certification is mandatory.
Knowledge and Non-Technical Skills:
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively in multilingual environments.
- High attention to quality standards and the ability to work in international/multicultural teams.
- Strong adaptability to unexpected changes or decisions.
- Risk assessment expertise.
- Proficiency in English (C2 level) with the ability to handle confidential and personal data with discretion and integrity.
