We are looking for highly motivated individual to join our Data Layer Team as a Senior Business Analyst / ETL Developer with experience in the Banking/Financial services. This is a hybrid role, 70/30 Functional/Technical where domain knowledge is key, so we expect a solid knowledge of financial instruments and topics in general, combined with experience in modeling and ETL within the banking, consultancy, or financial services software sector.
The successful candidate will be part of a scrum team responsible for the data integration of the Finance, Regulatory Reporting and Risk Management applications or Walters Kluwer, so understanding of such workflows, data models and applications will be a very strong plus.
The role will be based in our offices in Cluj (RO), but remote (within Romania) could also be considered on a case by case basis.
Key Individual Responsibilities:
Leveraging your expert knowledge in financial instrument, take a leading role in the analysis and implementation of the data integration strategy for our Finance, Risk and Regulatory reporting applications.
Being an active member of the Data Model Council, responsible for the governance of the WK Data Models, you will be actively creating and/or approving data model changes.
Understand the Software Development Life Cycle and take part in the team Agile / SCRUM development process, actively participate to SCRUM ceremonies, guide developers in the daily tasks.
Gather business requirements from Product Owners/Stakeholders, create user stories and work closely with technology teams to create system requirements.
Contribute to the functional design of applications and their data model, development estimates and impact analysis.
Create or enhance functional test data and expected results to test new developments as well as perform regression testing and analysis.
Actively participate in external and internal customer interaction, providing second line support, including analysis of customer cases, provide resolution recommendations and contribute to implementation.
Requirements:
Bachelor / Master Degree in Economics, Finance & Banking or equivalent experience with good knowledge of banking products and concepts.
3+ years working in Business Systems Analysis, ETL Team, Product Management or other equivalent experience with a good understanding of project delivery, ideally through Agile/Scrum development techniques.
Experience of working with financial software, particularly regarding banking and regulatory data warehouses or reporting solutions
Experience in Data Modelling (logical/physical), SQL, and understanding of how relational databases work. Experience with data governance and ETL tooling an advantage,

Fluent in English, written and oral
Desirable skills:
Knowledge of more complex banking products and regulations such as one of the following areas is a strong advantage:
the IFRS regulatory framework for financial institutions and its supervisory standards
BCBS, CRR and CRD.
