Funcom was founded 32 years ago, in 1993.  

We were there in the early days of the massively multiplayer online games, breaking new ground and pioneering features and business models that are commonplace today.

We’ve made over 25 games, from pixel platformers to more recent titles such as The Longest Journey, Conan Exiles, and Secret World Legends.

With Dune: Awakening, we are weaving together Open World Survival and MMO elements into a Dune tapestry that brings Frank Herbert's
- fi masterpiece to life in a completely unique way.

Today, over 500 people from more than 40 different nationalities work and play at Funcom across our 5 studios in Oslo, Norway; Lisbon, Portugal; Durham, North Carolina; Stockholm, Sweden; and Bucharest, Romania.

As a Senior Dev QA Tester, you will contribute to ensuring the quality of our games.  You will evaluate and perform first pass QA testing on new features and content and provide early feedback to the development team, report issues/bugs, help developers with reproducing, identifying, and isolating bugs, and work directly with the development team to bring each project to life and ensure
- quality experiences for our players.

This is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of game mechanics, attention to detail, and effective communication with
- functional teams to deliver polished,
- quality games.

• Help maintain a good functionality of the game systems by developing an
  - depth understanding of them and their associated requirements
• Work closely with the Developers, Producers and Project Managers to provide early testing and feedback about features, helping in maintaining a smooth development process
• Perform testing accurately and thoroughly to detect bugs, software flaws and/or design issues
• Own a project area and ensure that all the checks are properly executed
• Create and execute test cases based on design documents
• Report the test results, provide regular updates and escalate concerns to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure the quality of testing deliverables

• Over 3 years of experience in Development QA roles
• Strong passion for video games
• Technically proficient with a deep understanding of technology
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen ability to identify and solve problems
• Capable of providing detailed and constructive feedback on games
• Professional attitude and a track record of being proactive,
  - driven, meticulous, and curious in nature
• Advanced knowledge of QA processes and methodologies
• Hands-on experience with test case management, defect tracking, and reporting tools (Test
  Rail, Xray, Grafana, JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiarity with the full test cycle of commercial game projects, from alpha through beta, launch, and maintenance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Experience with Unreal Engine, Perforce and Visual Studio

• A technical background and experience with C++, SQL and/or Python

• Advanced knowledge of SDLC

• Experience with playing Survival games and RPG’s (Conan Exiles, ARK, Rust, 7Days etc. )
