The members of Steelcase’s Global Tax team are resident at business centers in both Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA) and Cluj-Napoca (Romania). The Tax Team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who is motivated and willing to learn to work in the Global Business Center Cluj. The Tax Team is involved in managing compliance, transfer pricing, tax planning, income tax accounting, tax audits and other topics related to tax. As part of the team, you will be mainly responsible for EMEA indirect tax compliance working within our regional Center of Excellence. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with people from different countries in EMEA and the United States.   Mission: ensure timely indirect tax compliance and reporting for Steelcase in EMEA, while making sure that tax legislative changes are diligently implemented, and tax audits are effectively handled. Who You Are:  Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting• ACCA, CPA (or equivalent) will be considered a plus • 3–5 years of experience in tax, finance or accounting; working in a multinational environment is preferred • Exposure to VAT compliance, tax audits, financial audits • Any SAP or ERP knowledge would be a plus• Fluent in English is a must. Knowledge of French or German would be a plus Desired Skills and Experience  • Highly organized with strong
- management and prioritization skills. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative abilities. • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and focused on process improvement. • Skilled in building effective relationships with stakeholders and authorities. • Solid understanding of tax principles, accounting legislation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. What You Will Be Doing: • Prepare and submit VAT returns and ledgers for various EU countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Compile and format data required for VAT returns, monitoring tax compliance for legal adherence and process improvements. • Stay updated on legislative and business changes, assessing and implementing their impact on financial systems and processes. • Support audits by preparing documentation, engaging with tax auditors, and assisting in dispute resolution. • Partner with stakeholders across regions to address tax questions and work collaboratively to resolve
