About the role…

As the Senior IT System Engineer – Core Platforms, you will join a global and dynamic IT Team that’s responsible for delivering IT services to the rest of the organization. You will own the IT infrastructure around our core systems like our ERP landscape and database services and be the main point of contact for business and application teams.

The team works according to an agile methodology. As a team member you are keen to learn about new topics quickly, develop yourself and your team members and feel ownership of the global Kendrion infrastructure.

Location

The position may be based in a European Union country where Kendrion has an office (Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Romania), and may be fully remote or based at one of our European locations.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Creating and implementing of Solution Designs based on the infrastructure strategy roadmap and technical directives from the architecture department. Examples are improvements for the hypervisor layer, optimalisation of the database
- architecture and analysis on target designs

Responsible for platform infrastructure for ERP systems (on-prem Linux based)

Responsible for technical integrations, the infra for our integration middleware, integration tech (REST, SOAP, File, etc. ), EDI systems

Ownership of database infrastructure, Oracle, MSSQL, My
SQL, Postgres for a wide variety of consumers and locations

Engineering responsibility for ERP, DB, Integration platforms and other core systems including monitoring, backup and technical roadmap

Due diligence for new partners or solutions in your area, for example review potential suppliers, partners or solutions

Responsible for incident and problem management as 3rd level support

Given our international environment, English is our business language. Romanian, Czech, Mandarin or German is a plus

Candidates should live in the European Union with the legal right to work (natural or with visa)

Our team serves Kendrion globally hence limited travel may be required, mostly within Europe
