Mission

As Service Mesh engineer youwillwork in a squadwith 7-9other engineers that have similar skills as you. Togetheryoudevelopthe
Touchpoint Sidecar, a librarywhichbootstrapsthe development journeyto Touchpoint, built on top of Merak. In additiontothatyouwillalsowork on the
- house built Service discovery solution based on Akkawith Distributed data.
The user base of the Service Discovery is spread globallyandit is beingusedby 500+ teams.
It is up tothesquadto manage who takes part in discussionswith users and stakeholders tocometo concrete new features of your product.
Sometimes users experiencedifficultieswhileintegratingyour product withtheirown solution. In suchsituations, yoursquadhelpsthe user to tackle these issues. Allsquad members take part in thistechnical support towards users.
Yourday-to-day
Deliver high quality software that enables other teams to deliver their APIs better and faster;
Support users of your product when they have technical questions or experience issues;
Support more junior developers in creating better applications.
Who we are looking for?
We are currentlylookingforanexperienceddeveloperforour
Service Mesh Squad within Touchpoint. The squadwillconsists of 7developers, 2 OPS and a PO, mixtlocatedin Amsterdam &Cluj.
We are lookingforthefollowingcharacteristics:
A strong interest in Continuous Delivery and Agile / SCRUM ways of working;
A collaborative approach to solving problems while bringing positive energy to the team;

Excellent team player in an international team, quality focused, service oriented, eager to learn.
Whatyoubringtothe team
Academic education: Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Cybernetics or equivalent;
5+ years experience with Javaand Spring Boot, experience with Scala is a plus;
Experience with the Open Source way of working;
Capable of delivering both working code and a suitable set of automated tests;
Understanding of working in a complex IT landscape such as ING;
Experience with developing code libraries that have a large user base;
Good understanding of software security issues, like the OWASP top 10.
