Senior Procurement BI Analyst

The Procurement Business Analyst will be responsible for :
- Collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reviewing data according to current processes and operational standards
- Creating, updating, maintaining, and improving reports that provide actionable insight that contributes to business development
- Continuously developing new and improving existing stakeholder relations acting as a Business Partner
- Coordinating with Business Analysts on the IPP / LPP Validation procedures
- Data Collection, Accuracy, and Analysis:
Example:
- Collecting and extracting data from databases and entities
- Perform sanity checks on existing reporting solutions to ensure they are according to compliance standards and procedures
- Create actionable and insightful reports/dashboards
- Provide feedback on data quality
- Propose, implement, and coordinate automation projects for the existing and upcoming reporting needs
Business Analyst to support Category Managers in their decision making
Example:
- Assess trends in pricing, suppliers, markets, and segments and draft
- based analysis reports with
- downs and correlating data and trends - Provide input into procurement data structures/hierarchies to enable spend reporting, supplier performance and improve data quality
- Provide structural or ad hoc specific management information requests, analyses, reporting, etc.
- Support the Procurement organization with analytical techniques and knowledge sharing
- Propose automation solutions that increase the accessibility, quality, and performance of the reporting process, focusing on actionable insights
Yearly Validation Process (IPP/LPP) – Collecting, Tracking, Forecasting, Validating
Example:
- Liaise with the entities to collect the volumes and contract conditions for IPP forecasting
- Liaise with the Suppliers / OEMs on validating the IPP / LPP volumes and turnover
- Coordinate with the Category Managers to ensure accurate tracking of the IPP / LPP validation
- Support the IPP/ LPP tracking using analytics tools to monitor steering optimization
- Coordinate with the Business Analysts on supporting activities
Performance management process
Example:
- Collect, transform, analyze, and review data for Annual Plan / Target Setting, according to current processes and operational standards
- Create, maintain, update, and improve KPI / MBO Dashboards
- Contribute to Business Development and Strategy through insights, data modeling
Continuous improvement
Example:
- Proactively implement improvements and support addressing newly identified needs coming from the business experts to increase efficiency and quality. Improve procurement data quality by aligning with business users and procurement guidelines and procedures.
- Identify key insights and opportunities that drive business development
- Research, learn, and advocate new resources and languages that help improve existing databases, data quality, and reporting
Application automation solutions and simple system developments
Example:
- Contribute to Next Gen Procurement project system development and implementation
- Come up with ideas to eliminate repetitive steps and implement solutions using VBA; Workflow; Query; Power BI, or other systems and tools
- Ensure tasks are being completed on time and accurately by one of the group analysts for the following recurring tasks
- Define business requirements and implement reporting solutions that provide actionable insights
- Collect, transform, analyze, and review data according to current processes and operational standards
- Recommend improvement procedures for existing process
- Update and maintain existing reporting solutions/tools/databases/dashboards
- Maintain and develop the partnership with stakeholders
- Act as a business advisor to internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with the Business Analysts on existing activities
- Advanced Excel skills and good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- VBA & Power Query skills are considered an asset
- Understanding of databases and data structures
- Understanding corporate data, market data, fundamental data, and reference data is considered an asset
- Power BI (or similar data analytics solutions) skills
- SQL skills
- Python / R knowledge is considered an asset
- BABOK / Coursera / Microsoft certifications in Business Analysis are considered a plus
- Able to plan and organize, estimate deadlines, prioritize workload, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure and tight deadlines;
- High attention to detail without compromising the ability to keep track of the assigned ongoing tasks
- Very flexible vs. change and VUCA environment (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity)
