Senior Software Engineer - API Platform, Oracle Health Apps & Infrastructure
As a Senior Software Engineer for Open Platform Engineering, you will join the API Platform team that is responsible for advancing the platform in addition to the managing of API traffic and maintaining the stability and performance of Oracle Health FHIR APIs product across multiple cloud regions. The Oracle Health FHIR APIs for Millennium are a set of APIs based on industry definitions by HL7 (Health Level 7 International) utilizing the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and Substitutable Medical Applications Reusable Technology (SMART) standards. These APIs allow system integrations with the Oracle Health Millennium Platform database or
- based applications to be integrated with and launched from within Oracle Power
Chart electronic medical record application.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to handle the responsibilities of designing, writing, testing, and reviewing code. In addition, you will be expected to provide technical leadership to other engineers on the team through project work, knowledge sharing and mentoring.

The Open Platform Engineering team focuses on creating a robust,
- based API ecosystem to extend the Oracle Health Millennium platform to third party developers. Leveraging HL7 FHIR and SMART standards, we are fostering a community of innovators working on some of toughest challenges providers face today in health care. We also drive participation in the broader industry through the engagement of our development community as well as the working groups pushing the evolution of the standard’s definitions.
