Purpose of role: 

All team members share the same responsibilities and duties regarding the operational availability of the TMS systems and the corresponding application support.

Overall Responsability: 

• configuration and maintenance of the hosted systems
• configuration and maintenance of the applications in close collaboration with the software engineers
• tuning systems and applications to cope with high data volumes and to be available 24/7
• monitoring of systems and applications
• troubleshooting of incidents, the scope of responsibility ends at the border between OS and application
• looking into ways to further optimize the current procedures and practices in the team
• being part of the
  - call schedule, outside office hours

Requirements:

• experience in a similar role, managing infrastructure hardware and Linux-based systems/ applications
• have
  - on experience in implementing and improving automation/ scripting for infrastructure, containers, systems, and applications
• be mindful of the implications of running a 24/7 operation
• be able to work on tasks both with the team and alone
• enjoy troubleshooting, look at issues as opportunities to learn/improve
• fluent writing and speaking in English
• we have a broad toolset in use, any level of working knowledge with one or more of these tools or technologies is a plus:

• Linux
• Kubernetes/Rancher/Docker
• Jenkins/Rundeck
• Tomcat
• Postgre
  SQL/My
  SQL/SQL Server
• Splunk
• Rabbit
  MQ
• Elastic
  Search

Bonus points:
• experience in managing an AWS environment, including automation

- depth experience in any of the tools/technologies mentioned above
