Job Summary:
Software Component Technology is the appointed organization for Ericsson globally to introduce third party software components (3PP SW) into Ericsson systems for usage within Ericsson products.
The Software Component Engineer (SCE) supports execution of Ericsson policy and licensing obligations for third party software across multiple global programs. The SCE is responsible for performing a risk analysis and documenting of software components used by R&D throughout Ericsson. The two main categories of SW components are free open source (FOSS) and commercial software (COTS).
The main areas of responsibility are:
SS Software, including licensing and trade compliance for Ericsson programs/solutions;
- source compliance policy;
- source obligations and any relevant issues that may arise;
Requested Competence:
- party software;
- source software licenses apply to commercial software distributions;
- cultural & large corporate environment;
- compliance to standards and to resolve complex issues;
