How you’ll make an impact: We are seeking a talented, driven Staff Software Engineer to join our growing Podcast & Monetization team. In this role, you will be partnering with a very
- performing team of engineers that build, own, and maintain backend and frontend services and products at scale. You will contribute to strategizing, designing, testing and productizing of new features & new components for the Podcast CMS platform at scale, while automating the podcast monetization with the SXM Media and Ads
Wizz services. What you’ll do: Design and build a new platform to power the Podcast CMS integrated with the SXM Media and Ads
Wizz services and data model. Design and build
- performance, stable, scalable Ads
Wizz systems that will be deployed in an enterprise setting. Lead
- level architecture discussions and planning sessions. Support the Incident Management team. Work with various teams of engineers building software in a collaborative development process. Execute tasks with utmost clarity and precision, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and providing clear direction to drive projects forward effectively. Collaborate with the Product team to clarify the scope of the projects. Collaborate with the Global Operations teams to ensure flawless production deployments and support the Incident Management team. Responsible for tech interviewing on demand Responsible for mentoring/growing more junior profiles What you’ll need: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar discipline. Strong understanding of engineering software processes, lifecycle methodology, configuration management, release management, and system verification and testing. Ability to work independently and oversee entire projects or significant parts, focusing on completing the tasks on time. Proven ability to research and become proficient in new technologies Strong analytical and
- solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to continuous improvement. Proficiency in constructing detailed software architecture diagrams Has successfully built resilient
- region microservices at scale by leveraging AWS. Build & Release best practices. Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels. 7+ years of software engineering experience in Java programming language (preferably JDK17 or higher) 2+ years of experience crafting microservices and scalable products, utilizing diverse cloud platforms (ideally AWS) Mandatory technical expertise in the following areas: Coding – Java, Node. js, Python. AWS - ECS, EKS, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, SQS, Athena, API Gateway, Elastic
Cache, Cognito etc. REST API-based microservices using Spring
Boot (or Dropwizard) and Hibernate Relational Databases (preferably Maria
DB or My
