The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Technical Lead for E-commerce to manage 6 team members from the solution and IT support team for the ecommerce platforms.

This role will be a
- time position based out of our Bucharest, Timpuri Noi, office - hybrid mode or can be remote for person applying outside Bucharest.

The Technical Lead for E-commerce works closely with the e
Commerce System managers and the IS web development team to ensure stable and functional websites and e
Commerce applications. This role will also lead the global e
Business support resources, providing direction to the EU e
Business & b2b support specialists, as well as the NA Solutions Support Supervisor and team members.

The team lead will drive internal process improvements & the assessment of how to best support new e
Commerce developments. The role is also responsible to streamline support, & to manage defect tracking & escalation activities. Customer-facing e
Commerce support covers existing & expanding applications (store front, B2B) via various support channels (email, phone calls, C2C).

This is a position that requires at least CET (Central European Timezone) working hours – with extension to the US EST morning hours possible.

The team

Avantor's IT support group team consists of individuals spread globally.

The role is 80% operational and 20% team management. The team serves as the connection between the engineering team that builds websites and pages, the product owners, and the commercial teams.
