Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain expertise in a new
- edge field. You’ll report to Sorin Iovu (Cluster Operations Manager, Cluj-Napoca), and work alongside dedicated, proactive and
- oriented teammates.
The position is part of the Global Transportation organization, based in Cluj-Napoca (Romania)
The Transportation Improvement Manager supports and facilitates the transformation of Alstom transportation organization in line with the Supply Chain strategy.
We’ll look to you for:
Drive consistency in process, systems & data across Sites
- Be the global point of contact of sites under your responsibility for Transportation process & strategic questions
- Support deployment of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Transportation Routing guides across Sites.
- Monitor transport plan performance with sites, and drive continuous improvement plan
- Help sites to growth in maturity
- Support strategic programs, projects and network studies for the Transportation organization to achieve AT operational objectives.
Drive continuous improvement and operational performance
- Prepare and run regular Performance reviews at a global level with Transportation providers
- Manage quality and claim management (Root cause analysis and corrective actions)
- Drive continuous improvements initiatives and network studies to optimize shipments and reduce carbon emissions
- Monitor cost performance vs Budget; identify cost drivers, analyze deviations, and propose action plans
- Run root cause analysis and corrective actions for any operational or system issues generating manual interventions in the transportation planning system
- Monitor Transportation providers invoicing process and
- time payment

- Degree level qualification related to supply chain, logistics, international transportation, business management, or associated discipline
- Fluent in English
- Relevant experience in similar position (minimum 2 years)
- Validated experiences in logistics, 3PL management, import and export procedure
- Good understanding of customs regulations and procedures
- Leadership, initiative, and decision minded
- Team spirit approach and good communication skills
- Strong Ethics & High Integrity
- Continual learning & professional development
- Knowledge of modern principles for efficient transportation management, and distribution control
- SAP knowledge (advantage)
