Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global
- channel investor servicing, including contact centre, using digital services.

About the role

As a UI Technical Lead at SS&C, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and delivery of advanced user interfaces for our financial software products. This role is ideal for an experienced
- end developer with extensive knowledge of Angular who is also skilled in leading and mentoring a
- functional team of developers and testers in an Agile/Scrum environment.

You will collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend teams to create
- quality, scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our financial services clients. Your leadership will be essential to ensuring the successful delivery of projects, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement within your team

Your responsibilities

• Technical Leadership:
  • Lead the design, architecture, and development of the user interface using Angular.
  • Define and enforce best practices for UI development, coding standards, and architecture.
  • Drive technical discussions to deliver performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with backend development teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead a scrum team of developers and testers, ensuring alignment with Agile practices.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers, providing guidance on technical challenges and career development.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks, manage sprint planning, and lead daily
    - ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to encourage innovation and
    - solving within the team.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Product Management and UX teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Partner with QA engineers to establish automated testing practices and ensure software quality.
  • Liaise with other teams across SS&C to ensure alignment with
    - wide technology strategies.
• Innovation and Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve the user experience through new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in
    - end technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Continuously monitor application performance and make
    - driven improvements.

Your Experience

• Proven experience as a UI Technical Lead or Senior Front-End Developer with a focus on Angular.
• Strong expertise in Java
  Script/Type
  Script, HTML5, CSS3, and related
  - end technologies.
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration and working knowledge of Rx
  JS and Ng
  Rx.
• Solid experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies, including leading scrum teams.
• Experience in delivering
  - performance, scalable web applications in a
  - paced environment.
• Ability to drive and implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent
  - solving skills with a strong focus on user experience and usability.
• Strong communication skills and a track record of effectively leading
  - functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with financial software products.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with modern design systems and UX principles.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jasmine or Karma.
