The Voyo Proofreading & Subtitling Coordinator plays a crucial role in optimizing processes, resolving issues, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the subtitling operations.
Role description:
• Coordinate the entire subtitling process, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among the Programming Department, Archive, Subtitling Team, QC Department, Scheduling, and other stakeholders;
• Collaborate with the Scheduling team to receive and manage the Program Schedule, covering up to one year for each channel;
• Work closely with the Archive to allocate unique IDs to materials and prioritize them for subtitling, considering urgencies and updates;
• Allocating translators and reviewers on new materials for translation, based on workload, urgency, and availability, also giving preference to maintaining the same team of translators/reviewers for different episodes of the same series, for niche specialties where certain resources received good feedback, and maintaining a balanced workload among all team members;
• In collaboration with the Archive department, enter allocations in the database and extract subtitling norms, ensuring accurate and

- date records. This will be the basis for issuing Purchase Orders for translators/reviewers/proofreaders;
• Facilitate effective communication between translators, reviewers, proofreaders, and other stakeholders involved in the subtitling process;
• Manage the feedback loop between translators, reviewers, and proofreaders, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining quality standards;
• Analyze translated files and allocate payments to translators and reviewers based on predefined criteria;
• Provide a clear overview of the subtitling process, proactively identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions;
• Collaborate with the QC Department to ensure that quality control processes are in place and that final subtitle files meet established standards;
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of the subtitling process. Generate reports as needed to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
• Fluent English is essential;
• Bachelor's degree;
• Proven experience in subtitling coordination or a related role within the broadcast industry;
• Familiarity with subtitling software, such as Polyscript or EZTitles;
• Excellent organizational and project management skills;
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities;
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance;
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to challenge & collaborate;
• Familiarity with different languages and cultural nuances is a plus;
• Knowledge of the broadcasting industry and its standards.
